AscenTax Pro

Pricing for tax professionals

You are billed one platform fee per accepted return — nothing else. No seat licence, no minimum volume, no annual contract. You set and keep your own client fees; Ascendum Corporate Advisory LLC bills your firm monthly for the returns the IRS accepted in the prior month.

  • No seat licence, no minimum volume and no annual contract — you pay only for what you file.

  • Amended returns (1040-X and business amendments) are billed at the same per-return rate.

File under your own EFIN

Lower per-return fee

You are the Electronic Return Originator for your own firm. AscenTax Pro is the software: intake, document capture, encrypted SSN vault, review, e-signature and transmission. Your PTIN and EFIN appear on the return, your engagement letter governs the client relationship, and you keep the full preparation fee you charge.

  • Your EFIN, your ERO responsibility, your client list.
  • PTIN and EFIN verified once by an administrator before your account opens.
  • You set and collect your own client fees; we bill you only the platform fee.
  • No IRC §7216 disclosure to Ascendum is required — you are the return preparer.

Higher per-return fee

Ascendum Corporate Advisory LLC acts as the ERO and transmits the return under its EFIN. You prepare and sign as the paid preparer using your own PTIN. This suits preparers who hold a PTIN but have not yet obtained an EFIN, or who prefer not to run their own e-file operation.

  • Valid PTIN required; EFIN not required.
  • You must sign the ERO & §7216 Agreement before your first transmission.
  • Ascendum performs a quality review before transmission and may decline any return.
  • Client consent under IRC §7216 is collected in the portal for every affected return.

How billing works

  1. 1. You file. Every return you transmit is recorded with the EFIN it was filed under.
  2. 2. The IRS accepts it. The fee becomes billable only on acceptance — pending and rejected returns carry no charge.
  3. 3. We invoice monthly. On the first business day of each month you receive an itemised statement of the prior month’s accepted returns. You can see the same list any time in your dashboard.
